Formosa Petrochemical top FDI company in Americas
The petroleum refining company saw more capital expenditure in the region than any other firm in the first six months of the year
Formosa Petrochemical, the petroleum refining company, was the top FDI company by capital expenditure in the Americas in the first half of 2018, spending $9.4bn.
Southern Copper, the mining company, saw $2.5bn in capex, ahead of Vale, the Brazilian multinational corporation engaged in metals and mining, which spent $2.3bn.
Iberdrola, the electric utility company, saw $1.8bn in capex in H1, while
Constellation Brands, which produces and markets beer, wine and spirits, spent $1.5bn.
